A Word From The President

Welcome to CCHSAWA!
My name is Susan Bager, and I am the President of the WA branch for CCHSA. Our state Branch is just one section of our Federal Branch. CCHSA Federal Branch runs our membership, insurance and other major necessities needed to run our not for profit organisation.
As the WA State Branch, we pride ourselves on offering a fun, professional society which cherishes the history of the Clydesdale horse as well as incorporating the new uses for this breed.
At our shows, we offer members the opportunity to participate in in-hand breed classes, riding, farm implements, carts and most of all the quality breeding of the Clydesdale. Our society is a breed based society and prides itself on top quality breeding.
As President, I endeavour to attract new members as well as returning and existing members to have fun with their beloved Clydesdale, all the while learning everything from the history of this magnificent breed. As a Committee, we work as a team sharing knowledge, making the appropriate decisions for our state and its members as well as offering a friendly get together at our shows/clinics/fun days and more. All of these events aim to share and show each other’s skills and knowledge of what we have learnt and achieved along the way.
CCHSAWA holds one State show per year, which not only shows off the versatility of the Clydesdale breed, but also presents a number of winners over the weekend with our state trophies, recognised for different achievements with the Clydesdale horse. These achievements are highly renowned and shared across the country.
We also hold regular events where our members can attend and learn new skills throughout the year.
We all love the Clydesdale breed and are proud of each and every one of them. As owners of this magnificent breed, we are all very lucky to own one. Many people often say, ‘If only I could own one of these beauties.’
I hope to see more Clydesdale owners join our society and attend future shows as we believe more the merrier.
